Alex Albon has earned plenty of praise after several strong performances this season . He has 2 points under his belt so far and wants to achieve more . His strong performance has impressed his buddy George Russell .
George Russell in an interview with F1.com said , “I think Alex has done an exceptional job, there was obviously no secret, he had a tough time at Red Bull, but I think all of us knew how talented Alex was.
“We’ve all raced each other since 2011,” George added, continuing: “Alex was a few years older than us, so he was sort of competing against [Nyck] De Vries at the time in KF1 I remember.
“And he’s always been there, he’s always been one of the very best. So it’s no surprise to me and [I’m] happy to see that he’s back in Formula 1 and, I think, has cemented his position. “
Alex Albon who has won the 2018 Formula2 season in Baku is hopeful of showing another strong performance this weekend .He said ,”I really like Baku as it tends to be a circuit with a lot of opportunities.It’s been a good track for me in previous years.
“Baku is a street circuit but presents a different challenge to what we faced in Monaco a couple of weeks ago.The races are quite unpredictable, which I think will work well for us and on paper, it’s a circuit that should also suit us.
“We’ll be looking to hit the ground running from Friday onwards and come away with a good result for the team.”
