Authorities in Northern Mexico have destroyed 14 homemade armored cars usually adapted from commercial trucks, with steel plate armor welded on. The cars belonged to Mexican drug cartels to fight land battles.

The cars had firing ports , gun turrets and thick steel welding ramming prows welded to the front .

Mexico is home to two warring drug cartels , the Northeast and Gulf groups. But it is not clear from which gang the cars were seized .

Though the cars are called “monstruos”, or “monsters” , it is vulnerable and less useful in real world . They are heavy and slow moving , easily to spot and vulnerable to incendiary devices or munitions, and many are found burned.

Apart from these monstrous cars , they have developed more sophisticated bomb-dropping drones and IED (Improvised Explosive Devices).

Peace ✌️
