British GP 2022 was filled with drama starting from Lap 1 with a disastrous crash to an awesome close racing in the final laps .
British GP started with a horrific crash involving Zhou Guanyu , George Russell , Yuki Tsunoda and Alex Albon . The crash saw Zhou Guanyu’s car flipped upside down and ran over the safety barrier . Zhou and Alex were taken to medical center and declared safe .
Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz claimed his maiden F1 victory of his career on his 150th race start . He kept a cool head to beat Red Bull’s Sergio Perez and Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes .
Max Verstappen was much stronger and was looking to win the British GP , but hitting a piece of debris caused a lot of problems to his car and managed to finish only P7 .
A late safety car caused by the retirement of Esteban ocon provided opportunity for the drivers to pit . The race started spicing up once the green flag was waived . Charles Leclerc , Sergio Perez , Lewis Hamilton ,Lando Norris and Fernando Alonso battled it out in closing range .It was a spectacular battle as Lewis Hamilton did a double overtake to go ahead of Leclerc and Perez , and Perez then overtaking Hamilton . The battle was fantastic to watch .
Mick Schumacher battled it hard with Max Verstappen till the chequered flag to finish P8 and claimed his first points in Formula1 .
