Aston Martin Cognizant F1 team is taking all possible and calculated steps to become a F1 title contender in four- five years .
Aston Martin has hired Mercedes’ Chief Aerodynamicist Eric Blandin .An Aston Martin spokesperson said :”We can confirm that Eric Blandin will begin working for Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One Team next year. His exact start date is not yet confirmed .The transition from Mercedes’ AMG F1 Team to ourselves will be an amicable one.”
Previously ,Aston Martin hired Red bull’s current Head of Aerodynamics Dan fallows . Fallows joined Red bull in 2006 and was a part of Red bull’s dominant Sebastian Vettel – led era , which saw them win every drivers’ and constructors’ title between 2010 and 2013.
Aston Martin have also hired ex-Alfa Romeo Chief designer Luca furbatto to be their new Engineering Director , with long-term tech boss Andrew Green promoted to Chief Technical Officer .Aston Martin said Furbatto will be working for the team ahead of the 2022 season .
Aston Martin have also started working on their new factory . The new 400,000 square feet of floor space will provide the space to house the team’s design ,manufacturing and marketing resource , as well as the team’s first-ever wind tunnel and a state-of-the-art simulator.
With a lot more of hiring’s , improvements in communication , research and development going on in Aston Martin team , the team is moving in the right projectile to become a championship winning team .
