Wiliams Racing driver academy is on cloud nine as their drivers show strong performances in F2, F3 and W series .Their drivers had a fanstastic British GP with pole positions in every series on Friday and wins on Saturday and Sunday to top off a wonderful Williams weekend.
Logan Sargeant :
Logan won the F2 British GP starting from P2 on the grid .
With just 6 rounds left for the F2 season , Logan Sargeant has climbed up the Formula2 standings real quick and is in contention for the F2 championship .
He has scored 115 points this season so far and is 2nd in the F2 Drivers’ standing .He has scored an amazing 77 points in the last 3 races .He is just 39 points behind the current leader Felipe Drugovich.
Zak O’Sullivan :
Zak O’Sullivan took his maiden Formula3 podium in Silverstone from pole position .
He finished P2 after a nail-biting fight with compatriot Bearman .
After the win , he said , “A massive thanks to Carlin and Williams for their support. We’ve really improved the car over the past couple of days and started off the weekend well with pole position, so P2 is probably one of the best results we could’ve hoped for.”
Jamie Chadwick :
W series double champion Jamie Chadwick won her maiden British GP in front of her home crowd from pole position.She has won four 2022 wins in a row.
Jamie after winning the race said , “Really good. Obviously, a home race for, well, all of us – so really cool. I remember when Zak put it on pole in F3, and I knew Logan had good pace, and I did think to myself, ‘imagine if we all do it.’
“We came straight off a training camp, so maybe that was the reason why. We all had a nice bit of good fortune yesterday [Friday], but it’s just it’s nice to be part of the Williams Team. It’s been really good.”
Sporting director of Williams Racing Sven Smeets is overwhelmed by their drivers performance . He said , “It’s been an incredible weekend for our Driver Academy with Jamie, Logan and Zak capitalising on their pole positions to be on the podium.
“Jamie and Logan both displayed dominating performances to achieve victory in their respective series. Zak showed a mature performance to claim his first podium in Formula 3 finishing in second place at his home race.
“These achievements highlight the incredible effort, determination and persistence of our Academy Drivers.
“Everyone at Williams is incredibly proud of their results and look forward to supporting the rest of their seasons.”
