Ferrari believe their new car F1-75 , built according to new rules will bring a cracking chance to catch Mercedes and Redbull and is confident to fight for the championship.
The prancing horse is hopeful of recovering their pace, which they lost in the engine cheating scandal in 2019.
Team Principal Mattia Binotto wants the F1-75 to be up for the fight on track at every Grand Prix, to go toe-to-toe with their rivals and wants the car to perform at its very best .
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc echoed the same by saying ,”What makes me confident about this year’s car I think is the work that I’ve seen in the past few months. It’s been absolutely incredible by the whole team. It’s been a long time that we’ve been working on this car now and I can see how well we’ve been working, so that gives me the confidence for the future.”
Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz had a fantastic debut season last year and finished fifth in the drivers’ championship.
As the Power Unit will be frozen atleast until the end of 2025 season , Ferrari have been aggressively involved in their new engine design .
Ferrari had extra time permitted for wind tunnel while designing their 2022 car . The extra time could be worth a couple of tenths on the track.
“The ability of having more wind tunnel time is of course something you need to you need to bear in mind,” Wolff said as per Crash.net.
Ferrari , in deed is looking strong and ambitious this season as everyone is extremely motivated .
The F1-75 will complete 100Km on a filming day in Barcelona on February 22 – before pre-season running begins on February 23rd.
