Jeddah Corniche circuit ,which is 6.174 Km long , termed as the ‘fastest street track ‘ on the Formula 1 calendar will host the penultimate race of the season .
Red Bull boss Christian Horner in an interview said ,” The next track arguably should favor Mercedes .”
“Abu Dhabi, with the modifications made there , who knows? It’s been incredibly tight ,so we go into these last races eight points in the lead in the drivers’ championship.”
” We’ve reduced the championship lead in the constructors’ to five points ,so both are fully in play .That’s fantastic ,because we’re not at the climax of this championship.”
Red Bull are stunned at the straight-line speed of Mercedes. Horner said “I think what we’ve seen in recent races has been abnormal straight-line speed.”
But circuit designer Hermann Tilke clarifies that Red Bull has an advantage in this circuit .”It’s not just straight ahead . There are a few fast corners that ,with the right set-up ,could give the Red Bull an advantage .”
It is evident that the title fight will go down to the wire .
