Saturday morning will host the sprint Shootout .Sprint Shootout consist of 12 minute SQ1 , 10 minute SQ2 and a 8 minute SQ3 .

New tyres are mandatory for each session . SQ1 and SQ2 will be done on the medium compound and SQ3 will be on a mandatory soft tyre .

The Sprint shootout will set the grid for the 100Km sprint race later that same day .

36 points are distributed to Top 8 finishers of the Sprint race . Points are given in descending order starting from P1 with 8 points till P8 with 1 point .

The new sprint is designed to encourage the drivers to be more attacking and take more risks , as any incident on the Sprint race would not compromise Sunday’s race .
