Q2 tyre rule scrapped :

Drivers who reached Q3 no more need to start the race on their Q2 set of tyres .

In the latest edition of the F1 sporting regulations published by the FIA , the article “At each Event where a sprint qualifying session is not scheduled, with the exception of any cars that are required to start the race from the pitlane, at the start of the race each car which qualified for Q3 must be fitted with the tyres with which the driver set his fastest time during Q2. This will only be necessary for these cars if dry-weather tyres were used to set the fastest time in Q2 and if dry-weather tyres are used at the start of the race.” had been struck through .

No more Thursday media day :

The traditional Thursday media day is scrapped and will happen on Friday mornings .

Automobile display (Show and Tell):

All teams are now required to submit to the FIA a document that gives the “name and brief description of all major aerodynamics and bodywork components and assemblies that have not been run at a previous event and are intended to be run at the event ” no less than 23 hours before the start of FP1.

90 minutes before the start of FP1, all teams must make both their cars available for the pre-event Automobile display .All 20 cars will stay out there for up to an hour, with all of major body work changes the team intends to run on their cars for FP1.

The display will provide an opportunity to identify the key changes made in an F1 car before the race weekend .

Exceptions to the pre-event Automobile display will be permitted with prior written approval of the Race Director .

30 minutes after qualifying on Saturday , a second Automobile display session will take place .Here , the Race Director and FIA’s technical delegate will choose only five teams to present one of their cars with which they have completed qualifying along with a “Senior” representative for at least 10 minutes to answer questions about their cars .

F1 car’s will evolve extensively between the season-opening Bahrain GP and the finale in AbuDhabi .The rate of car development is surely going to be extreme in this 2022 season .
