A dominating performance from Team England crushed Team India in the 1st test by beating India by 227 runs and going up 1-0 in the series .
India needed 381 in the final day to win and England required 9 wickets to win the match . England picked up wickets in regular intervals and there was no fight back from the Indian side . Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli completed their half centuries ,while others fell cheaply .
The BCCI was trolled as the squad was selected leaving inform Shardul Thakur and Mohammed Siraj .
The second test is scheduled to be played from 13 – 17th February in the same venue in Chennai .
