Bahrain GP 2022 Qualifying

Ferrari are back on top , as Charles Leclerc beat reigning World champion Max Verstappen by 0.123s to take his 10th career pole position .Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz finished third .

Reigning World Constructors’ champion Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell finished P5 and P9 respectively .

The results were a mixed bag, Haas driver Kevin Magnussen finished 7th and Mich Schumacher finished 12th , bringing hopes that the backmarkers have indeed stepped up their fight .Alfa Romeo Driver Valtteri Bottas finished 6th , just behind Lewis Hamilton .

The results of the qualifying were completely different as compared to the results of the last few years ,where only a selected bunch of Teams fight for podiums .

The qualifying results justify the initiative and efforts taken by Formula1 and FIA to make the sport more competitive by bringing key changes to the car and regulations .
