The Italian driver who will participate in Formula E in 2022 for DRAGON/PENSKE AUTOSPORT hopes to return to Formula 1 in 2023 .

Ferrari Team Principal Binotto said that Giovinazzi will attend 12 races and fulfil the role of reserve driver .

“Our hope is to be able to find a seat for Antonia (Giovinazzi) in the 2023 Formula 1 season . There are 11 seats I think which will be free in 2023. I’m not saying all of them will be free, but if I look at contracts of drivers, 11 are finishing by the end of 2022, including Carlos – so that’s the situation.” said Binotto .
