Austrian GP was a fantastic race filled with close racing , wheel to wheel actions and a complete thriller till the chequered flag .
Early in the race a collision between George Russell and Sergio Perez left Sergio Perez to retire his car and George Russell with a five second penalty .
The race had multiple wheel to wheel action and awesome overtakes . In Lap 24 , lando Norris, Mick Schumacher , Fernando Alonso ,Zhou guanyu and Kevin Magnussen raced hard in close distance was a notable one .
Mick Schumacher finished P6 after over taking Lando Norris and Kevin Magnussen .He even served a five second time penalty for exceeding track limits .
Carlos Sainz was hoping for a comfortable podium , but he bowed out of the race with a power unit issue . His team mate , Charles Leclerc had to overcome a throttle pedal issue at the finishing stages of the race to secure his first victory since Australian GP 2022.
Championship leader Max Verstappen could only settle for P2 after chasing Charles Leclerc to the chequered flag .
Haas ,Alpine and McLaren had a better weekend , with all their cars finishing in Top 10 .
Alfa Romeo’s Valtteri Bottas started from the pit lane and finished P11 .
